STEPHEN SKORSKI

Associate

Stephen has a long history with HQW Architects starting with an internship in the summer of 1998 and was most recently named an Associate in 2006. As a Project Manager, Stephen leads all HQW master planning activities as well as acoustically sensitive projects. Additionally, as our Director of Marketing and Business Development, Steve is responsible for directing the firm’s marketing and growth strategies. Steve has a Masters of Architecture degree from the University of Florida with a focus in architectural acoustics as well as a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in marketing from the University of South Florida. His educational background and architectural project management experience has been invaluable in bridging the gap between our client’s needs and the architectural execution of their vision.

Prior to joining HQW as an Associate, Stephen was engaged in the architectural and acoustic design of a variety of building types including; concert halls, opera houses, multi-use entertainment venues, luxury high-rise condominiums, large office buildings, and educational facilities. His expertise in the filed of architectural acoustics provides HQW with the ability to analyze and design noise sensitive spaces in-house. Stephen has co-authored several papers and presentation for the Acoustical Society of American (ASA) and the Institute for Noise Control Engineering (INCE). In addition to his work with HQW Architects, he has worked in Singapore, Iceland, Switzerland, and New York City.

Stephen is committed to his own professional development as well as the education of students pursuing architectural studies. He is a member of the Acoustical Society of America as well as the President of the New Jersey Chapter of the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). He has been a guest lecturer and guest critic for the architecture programs at The University of Florida, Virginia Tech University, and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Steve also serves on the Boards of Trustees for several state and local organizations.
