In 2005 Sergio was elevated to principal of HQW Architects. Sergio’s leadership and guidance has had a significant impact on the success of many of the firm’s recently completed projects. Along with his involvement as a lead architect, Sergio has made considerable contributions to the development and education of the firm’s younger designers.
Born in Costa Rica and educated in the United States, Sergio brings an international vision to our firm. This upbringing has had a major influence on Sergio’s designs and his general approach to the creation of architecture. As a firm, we are fortunate to draw upon his unique background for additional perspective and point-of-view. Sergio combines his passion for architecture with a love of wood working through the construction of original furniture designs.
